I know I have already written about fall fashion, mainly fall wedding trends, but I have to share more. These fall trends are so distinct, cool, and a little bit retro.
If you want to be safe, stick with your square nail. Otherwise, round it out and polish.
This isn’t really all that new of a concept, but after being gone for a few years, gold hued makeup is back. Great news if you still have some gold eyeshadow left over from 2006!
MAC eyeshadow in Gorgeous Gold
One of my favorite MAC products is their Pigment. Like a powdery dust, you can use it on your eyes, cheeks, or lips. Here it is in Melon.
Yes, Cindy Crawford and Brooke Shields, you can grow them back out now! Who has time to pluck and wax anyway?
Ditch the traditional orange and brown hues of the fall. It’s time for red, hot pink and emerald green.
Maison Martin Margiela Skinny Fuchsia Jeans
Samantha Surge Pants, Crimson
Lanvin Shoulder Draped Dress
White after Labor Day
Just pair it with a darker color bolero, shoe, or stocking and you are good to go.
Derek Lam Asymmetric-Hem Shirtdress
The Revamped Pencil Skirt
Just slightly different. A higher waistline, more snug on the hips, and goes just below the knee.
Oscar de la Renta Beaded Pencil Skirt
Jill Sander Exposed-Zip Pencil Skirt
Zac Posen Tweed Pencil Skirt
Fashion shouldn’t be about what is appropriate. Getting dressed is much more fun if it is about satisfying you. – Alexander Wang

It was about a year ago when I got a Nordstrom catalogue in the mail. Like most catalogues, I usually flip through when I have the time only stopping if something truly show stopping catches my eye. Now I must preface this by saying I have a serious love for watches. I get this from my dad. He has quite the collection of old vintage pocket watches as well as wrist watches. He gave me my first “big girl watch” when I graduated high school and I was in love.
So as I was mindlessly flipping through the pictures of the seasons hottest trends and so on, I saw a page of watches that had me at first sight.
I forgot to mention that I am slightly obsessed with rose gold. These watches are so great for any season. They are very girly, yet masculine because of the size. I literally get compliments on mine all the time. The band is acrylic and rose gold with a rose gold and diamond bezel.
A good watch is a great gift and a great investment. They also make great bridesmaid’s gifts depending on your budget. Not only does Michael Kors have great watches, but he has so many other great types of jewelry, clothes, handbags, and shoes.

It is hard to envision the fall when it seems we will be in triple digit heat until God knows when, but it is a season to get excited about! Brides planning a fall wedding are definitely thinking ahead. Here are some of the hottest color trends expected for the fall of 2012. Not only will these colors be hot for weddings, but in fashion as well. Start watching for these beautiful colors!
This color is a blend of gray and beige. It is very chic and stylish.
Chanel nail polish in Particuliere
To die for lace dress
This is a very warm and cozy color. The deeper variation of the brown goes perfect into autumn. Use a splash of color to liven it up or go monochromatic for a more rich look.
Purple and Gold
This regal color combination is sure to make a statement. It’s fun, yet sophisticated.
I want this for my birthday
Such a stylish shade of green. It’s very earthy with a hint of gold.
This might be hard to get around in…
My brain is exploding with all this color inspiration! I am already in love with this fall!

When I was little, my mom always warned me against touching stray feathers because of the possible diseases birds carry. That caution towards feathers has remained in me to this day. So now that feathers are all the rage, I’m slowly warming up to the idea. Not only are they rapidly popping up in jewelry and clothing, but in hair extensions too. The feather hair extensions are made of rooster feathers. They happen to be the most durable and flexible.
They range in length from 4-12 inches
They can last 1-4 months depending on how you care for them
Price is $30+
You can wash and style just like you would your own hair
So why feathers? There seems to be a fascination with savage beauty. It’s very organic and earthy, but with a little flair. Some designers even started incorporating the use of feathers as an homage to the late Alexander McQueen and his latest collection. No matter why it started, the trend is here and shows no signs of leaving us any time soon. Here are some of the latest feather trends in the wedding world…

I’m not the kind of girl who is always looking for a new pair of shoes. Going to a shoe store or a shoe department can be a little overwhelming for me even though I always want to quickly browse through. To me, shoes are an investment. Once you reach a certain age, your feet are going to stay the same size, so you don’t run the risk of out growing your shoes. I love that. You can gain or lose as much weight as you want and your shoes still fit!
Here are some of my favorite trends right now
Platform/Stiletto – Charles Jourdan
Suede/Velvet – Tory Burch
Wedges – Diane Von Furstenberg
Rub on places you think you might get a blister
Keep a pair of flats with you small enough to fit in your purse
